Job summary

Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital is seeking an Administrative Assistant in Radiology to provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support.

You will help with patient registration, records management, scheduling, and communications to ensure efficient department operations and a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of specialized short-term training in administrative, clerical, or secretarial skills preferred.
  • Less than one year of experience in an office, customer service, healthcare, or medical office setting.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.
  • Proficiency with word processing software and standard office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar and professional customer service.
  • Working knowledge of general office equipment, including multi-line phone systems, printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the patient admission and discharge process by accurately collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information to support timely registration, billing, and reimbursement.
  • Retrieve, organize, and maintain medical records, including pathology reports, imaging results, and documentation from referring providers, ensuring complete and accurate patient records.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact by answering incoming calls professionally and courteously, addressing inquiries, taking detailed messages, and ensuring prompt follow-up.
  • Provide administrative support for patient charge entry, insurance verification, authorization, and claims processing to help ensure accurate and efficient revenue cycle operations.
  • Prepare and distribute daily treatment, physician, and simulation schedules, ensuring providers, staff, and patients have the information needed for coordinated care and smooth clinic operations.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support workflow efficiency, maintain accurate records, and deliver an exceptional patient experience throughout every stage of care.
