UCAR is excited to announce the job opening for the Administrative Assistant II role. This position is responsible for supporting both internal staff and external audiences like the public, students, postdocs, and faculty. Collaborating with our team, you'll contribute to team success in a hybrid environment with a minimum of one day per week in the office. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant II will provide part-time administrative support to the Education, Engagement, and Early-Career Development (EdEC) Center at NSF NCAR, including the Management Team, Staff, and Sections. NSF NCAR Education, Engagement & Early-Career Development (EdEC) leads the education mission of NSF NCAR by engaging, training, and providing educational development opportunities for the next generation of scientists and engineers, the broader Earth system science community, and the general public. We prepare students and early-career scientists for careers to work in cutting-edge fields such as severe weather observation and modeling, space weather prediction, and new technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning.
This position is open to candidates seeking in-person or hybrid (combination of 3 days in-person and 2 days of remote) opportunities. UCAR requires ALL positions to be performed within the U.S., excluding U.S. Territories. Position will be part-time for 10 hours per week.
