Administrative Assistant II/III

Ability to Obtain HHS Public Trust

Location: Hybrid, Washington D.C.

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an Administrative Assistant II/III to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health (OASH). The candidate will provide administrative functions to support the staff of OASH.

The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health (OASH) is a Staff Division within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, overseeing 12 core public health offices, 10 regional health offices, and 10 advisory committees.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Support program/project management through administrative services such as:
    1. Scheduling Meetings
    2. Maintaining Files
    3. Preparing Travel Orders and Vouchers
    4. Reserving Conference Rooms
    5. Receiving Phone Calls
    6. Assisting in Graphics preparation and Presentations
    7. Completing Reports
    8. Performing Other General Office Duties
Job Qualifications
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties
  • Expert proficiency in MS Office Suite and quick learning of other software
  • Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle tasks with tact and discretion
  • Teamwork skills in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment
