Position Overview

We are hiring an Administrative Assistant to support our operations team, based in our office in Omaha Nebraska. This is a fast-paced office where you will be interacting with different levels of staff as well as directly with our customers. You will be expected to perform functions in MS Office Suite, internal SharePoint sites and other company software, so heavy computer skills are required. In addition, you will be responding to customer inquiries about scheduling, repairs, installation and services.

District Overview

Kiewit’s Eastern District specializes in challenging heavy civil construction projects throughout the Northeast, including the metropolitan areas of New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington DC. We are leaders in bridge, transit, foundation, tunnel, and water/wastewater construction while specializing in cast-in-place concrete, structural steel erection, earthwork, pile driving, and caissons. Kiewit’s Eastern District also has a large amount of work in the energy/power sector in various northeast locations. With our experienced and dedicated employees, extensive resources and in-depth market knowledge, the Eastern District can handle projects of any size.

Location

This position will be based out in Baltimore, MD.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Operations team and services team with administrative and customer support.
  • Develop documents in Word, presentations in PowerPoint and reports/charts in Excel.
  • Utilize web-based programs to manage and maintain customer data and records.
  • Support customers with inbound and outbound customer service calls, and handle scheduling forservices/repairs.
  • Perform other office/administrative functions as necessary.
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast paced office, with multiple responsibilities, and able to pivot as necessary to new tasks
Qualifications
  • High school degree one or more years’ related operations administrative support experience is required. Experience working with Engineering / Design and construction operations teams and customers, highly desirable.
  • Experience developing presentations in PowerPoint, documents in Word and developing reports/charts in Excel using advanced functions like Pivot tables, Vlookup, and formulas.
  • Experience using SharePoint desired; otherwise technologically savvy with the ability to pick up new software quickly.
  • Experience dealing with customer calls to resolve issues with a sense of urgency and positive attitude.
  • Experience performing outbound calls with customers to set up schedules, resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated record of success working in a highly diverse team-oriented office environment.
  • Displays the following competencies: Detail orientation, Ability to multi-task, great communication skills (orally and written), computer savvy, problem solving skills, team orientation, ability to work at a fast pace

Base Compensation:$52,000/yr -$67,000/yr

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
