Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking an Administrative Support & Credentialing Specialist to keep operations running smoothly while supporting provider credentialing and compliance. This role combines administrative excellence with healthcare credentialing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include confidential documentation, meeting minute taking, and creating reports using Word and Excel. A BA/BS degree is preferred and 1–3 years of healthcare experience is required.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of healthcare-related experience required.
  • 1 to 3 years of healthcare credentialing experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare contracting concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong documentation, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Support managers and employees through organization and communication tasks.
  • Responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that duties are completed accurately, delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
  • Attend meetings and take accurate minutes.
  • May be responsible for accurate and timely physician credentialing.
  • May direct and lead the work of others.
  • May manage and coordinate administrative programs and office activities.
  • Create spreadsheets, manage databases and prepare presentations, reports and documents as needed.
  • Answer telephones and take messages or transfer calls.
  • May cover the reception desk when required.
  • Calendar management, schedule appointments, update calendars and arrange staff meetings.
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Documentation, proficiency, attention to detail, and organization skills are essential.

Ability to multi-task is a must
