Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a detail-oriented teller to provide exceptional member service in a professional banking environment. You will complete deposits, withdrawals and balance cash drawers while ensuring accuracy and compliance with credit union procedures.

Ideal candidates have strong math, communication and computer skills and can work in a fast-paced setting. High school diploma or GED is preferred with teller experience welcome but not required.

• Previous teller experience preferred but not required.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Shift: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

Every other Friday 8am-6pm

Work Environment:

The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filling cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing exceptional Member Service including efficient and accurate transaction processing and providing administrative and sales support to teammates.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accept retail deposits, loan payments, process checking and savings account withdrawals.
• Cash Checks
• Balance cash drawer in accordance with Credit Inion procedures and regulations
• Process credit card cash advances
• May be responsible for opening and/or closing the office
• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained
• Perform as a team member in supporting, allocating and coordinating the workflow
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, high ability to learn, innovative thinker, tactful and diplomatic in dealing with members and teammates

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail oriented and accuracy is a must
• Competence with computers and office suite software, telephone skills, 10-key calculator and other office machinery
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure as needed
• Familiar with retail banking and credit union regulations and teller roles and responsible relating to each
• Willingness to complete online training classes and attend meetings as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
