DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports the licensing activities that allow insurance professionals to conduct business properly in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The position involves careful review of applications, clear communication, and accurate recordkeeping. As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Application Review: Examine specialty license applications and check them for accuracy and required documents
  • Compliance Checks: Ensure applications meet federal and state insurance laws and regulations
  • Guidance Delivery: Provide clear instructions to applicants, insurers, officials, and the public regarding licensing procedures
  • Data Processing: Input, update, and maintain information in licensing systems and related programs
  • Record Validation: Confirm bonding requirements, business entity details, and contract content for licensing approval

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirement
  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
