In this position, you will perform a wide variety of multi-functional administrative tasks dealing with park operational requirements, human resources, procurement, budgeting, and training of employees. Our park managers will rely on you to function as the lead worker of the park’s clerical staff. This includes establishing work objectives; planning, organizing, assigning work; and monitoring and reviewing work assignments. You will also assist in the preparation and posting of work schedules to ensure that adequate staffing support is maintained. Other responsibilities for this role include public contact work gathering information, resolving complaints, engendering support, and providing information in person and over the phone.
Your communication and analytical skills will also be essential for effectively interpreting and applying statewide Park and Department rules and policies, as well as preparing recommendations and justifications for changes needed to ensure our park stays a welcoming place that inspires people to value natural resources, engage in conservation practices, and experience the outdoors.
