Job summary

First Student in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Claims Support professional to assist in intake, documentation, and processing of transportation-related incidents, including bus accidents and student injuries.

You will collect driver and police reports, student rosters, medical records, driver logs, and photos, while ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate electronic claim files in the claims system.

Qualifications

  • Previously Auto Claims experience is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or higher preferred).
  • 3+ years of administrative experience, preferably in insurance, logistics, or claims support.
  • Familiarity with legal and transportation terminology/documents is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with claims management software (a plus, but not required).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Claims Adjusters in intake, documentation, and processing of transportation-related incidents.
  • Collect, organize, and manage driver and police reports, student rosters, medical records, driver logs, and photographs.
  • Receive and route calls, emails, and correspondence; respond to inquiries from law firms, insurance companies, parents, medical offices.
  • Track and document compliance with transportation safety and reporting regulations.
  • Maintain electronic claim files in the claims management system.
  • Prepare and send claim-related communications such as letters, reports, and summaries.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects.

Compensation ranges from $55,000 - $60,000 depending on experience.
