Qualifications

• Ability to travel to UCLA Health community based practices and work a variable schedule.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate appointments with staff from many clinical services.
• Efficiently facilitate the appointment process, including transportation arrangements and sub‑specialty physician schedules.
• Knowledge of job responsibilities; capable of using equipment, software and tools to complete tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Email; experience with a database program.

Travel Requirements

Travel to all UCLA Health Ambulatory Community Clinics throughout Southern California is required, and you must be physically present at assigned worksites. Assignment locations are based on operational needs and are subject to change.

Although travel to all UCLA Health community practices is required, current staffing needs are primarily located in the Los Angeles region, including:

• Mid City
• Century City
• Downtown Los Angeles
• Beverly Hills
• Koreatown
• Huntington Park
• Whittier

Salary Range: $27.74 Hourly - $27.74 Hourly

Required:

• Ability to be highly flexible, travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health community based practices and work a variable schedule
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate multiple appointments with staff from many clinical services at the UCLA Health System
• Skill in efficiently and accurately facilitate the appointment making process, including transportation arrangements and maintain sub‑specialty physician schedules
• Ability to demonstrate clear knowledge of job responsibilities; skillfully use equipment, software and tools required to do the job; and to work steadily to get job done
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments
• Skill in using a PC with associated programs including Word, Excel, and E‑mail, demonstrated work experience with a database computer program

Highly desired:

• Working knowledge of online systems and applications, including appointment and procedure scheduling, encounter registration, and access to hospital laboratory results and medical reports.
• Knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types of coverage provided
• Experience working in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology
