Reports To: Human Resources General Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Note: This operation runs 24/7, and individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required and the facility is only closed three days each year.

Job Purpose

The Senior Human Resources Manager oversees and supports HR teams across multiple states, ensuring smooth, consistent, and compliant HR operations. This role provides strategic guidance, training, and support on complex HR matters including employee relations, investigations, policy implementation, and legal compliance. The Senior HR Manager leads recruitment efforts, develops and maintains company policies, aligns HR strategy with business objectives, and serves as a trusted advisor to leadership. This role plays a critical part in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while fostering a structured, positive, and employee‑focused workplace culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to HR teams across multiple states, ensuring consistency and alignment with company policies and best practices.
  • Manage and support HR personnel through ongoing training, coaching, and performance tracking.
  • Handle multistate employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and compliance issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Supervise HR programs and initiatives while tracking team progress and outcomes.
  • Create, implement, and update company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and promote a healthy work environment.
  • Partner with external agencies to develop incentive and recruitment strategies.
  • Evaluate and improve recruitment processes to attract and retain skilled, high‑performing candidates.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategy with organizational goals and set department objectives.
  • Monitor HR metrics including turnover, cost‑per‑hire, headcount, attendance, and special projects.
  • Review and manage departmental budgets.
  • Schedule and oversee training programs for managers and supervisors focused on leadership development, compliance, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Ensure timely resolution of employee requests and grievances.
  • Maintain HR procedures that comply with labor laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive HR initiatives that support a positive workplace culture across all locations.
  • Travel as required based on business needs and project requirements.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and non‑verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in a Senior HR Manager or comparable HR leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and organizational skills.
  • In‑depth knowledge of HR systems including ATS, performance management, and payroll platforms.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, legal compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build safe, healthy, and compliant work environments.
  • Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Expertise in talent acquisition strategies and recruitment programs.
  • Experience with budget management and employee compensation planning.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong employee relations across diverse teams.
Education and Experience
  • Certified Human Resources professional with specialization in people management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior HR Generalist or HR Manager.
