Job summary

Pueblo Medical Imaging Llc seeks an organized Administrative Assistant to support outpatient imaging facilities. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and document information in the RIS system to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will coordinate workflows, handle calls, maintain 80% productivity, and collaborate with a team focused on accuracy and compassionate service. Medical office experience is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

  • Typing speed of 25 wpm or faster with accuracy.
  • Ability to manage time and multi-task in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in patients in a prompt, pleasant manner.
  • Schedule, coordinate, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
  • Verify patient information, prior exams, and document in RIS.
  • Collect co-pays and insurance information; follow cash procedures.
  • Assist with benefits verification and referrals as needed.
  • Maintain productivity and support medical records as assigned.

In this role, you will contribute to the efficient operation of our outpatient imaging facilities by supporting administrative processes, coordinating workflows, maintaining accuracy and organization, and helping ensure our teams have the resources and support they need to succeed.We are committed to excellence—not only in the care we provide to our patients, but also in the way we support and collaborate with one another. Relay necessary messages to staff.Handle inbound and outbound call all job capacities.Verify patient information, prior exams and history, and thoroughly document necessary information in RIS system.Collect appropriate co-pay, co-insurance or deductible at the time of service and strictly adhere to cash bank procedures/policy when applicable.Obtain insurance information regarding co-pays, deductibles and percentage payments.Assist department with verification of benefits and authorizations as needed.Scan referrals into system for calling and scheduling patients from work list.Coordinate film/report pickup and delivery, as needed.Maintain 80% productivity during the work day.Perform additional duties in medical records as assigned.Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSOne-year previous medical office experience.Ability to do essential duties.Ability to read, understand, write, speak and follow English instructions. Bilingual abilities preferred.Ability to speak clearly and concisely for effective communication.General knowledge of insurance benefits.Must be able to type 25 words per minute.MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to use excellent communications skills.Ability to manage stress appropriately.Ability to manage time efficiently.Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritizes effectively.Ability to work alone and/or with others effectively.Ability to work in close proximity to others in a distracting environment.Possesses common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
