Job summary

The Outreach Team in Tucson, AZ is hiring an Admin Field Director to manage our offices and recruit, train, and supervise a team of local canvassers. You will lead by example, canvass with staff, and report on progress to the director team.

You will build a scalable office, set goals, and foster equity and justice while ensuring a safe working environment and quality control across campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 40–60 hourly staff who canvass door to door to talk to voters about defending immigrant rights and growing Latino political power.
• Canvass yourself several days a week to train staff and drive office goals.
• Set goals and hold staff accountable to them.
• Train and provide ongoing motivation and support to staff.
• Identify, promote, and train a leadership team.
• Build a diverse team where staff feel respected while fostering a culture of equity and justice.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the work.
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all staff.
• Develop strategic plans to reach targeted voters in assigned locations.
• Manage administrative duties, including reporting data, record keeping, processing payroll, and distribution of materials.

We are hiring an Admin Field Director to manage our offices in Tucson, AZ. The Field Director will recruit, train, and manage a team of local canvassers to contact voters at the door and grow our community's political power. They will work within the director team to build an office to scale from the ground up. The Field Director is expected to train voter contact canvassers in the field while canvassing themselves to lead by example; they must also communicate long and short-term goals to staff and manage campaign reporting. The Field Director manages canvassers and Team Leads and reports to the Lead Director.

Nice to Have:

• Experience running paid canvasses or managing paid employees
• Familiarity with VAN and MiniVAN
• Experience working in underserved or marginalized communities
• Facilitation experience
• Local knowledge/experience

Salary:

The salary range for this position is $1,146 – $1,412 per week. We offer a generous benefits package, including paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, and hands‑on training. At the end of the campaign, there may be opportunities for advancement and bonuses.
