Description

ADM Middle School is looking for dynamic, passionate student‑focused associates for the 7th & 8th grade levels. The staff at the Middle School are incredibly caring and work in a collaborative manner.

The approximate hours for this position are 7:30 am–3:45 pm Monday–Thursday and 7:30 am–12:45 pm Friday.

Job Summary

The associate role assists the teacher in supporting specific learning goals by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve appropriate skill levels.

Responsibilities
  • Work with individual students or in small groups to help achieve skills and understanding of class material.
  • Work with a wide range of various needs, including academic, behavior, and social:
    • Reads to students, listens to students read, and participates in other forms of oral communication with the students.
    • Guides each student toward making appropriate choices and accepting responsibility for their own behavior.
  • Assisting the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information regarding an individual student.
  • Supervises students outside during arrival, recess, dismissal, and may provide lunchroom supervision.
