Middle School Classroom Associate

Holy Family Dubuque Mazzuchelli Catholic Middle School – Dubuque, Iowa.

Position Summary

Full‑time, 9‑month position (2026‑2027) assisting classroom teachers in a Catholic middle‑school setting. Classroom associates support instruction, maintain classroom behavior, provide re‑teaching activities, and contribute to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with daily instruction and classroom management.
• Provide re‑teaching and reinforcing activities guided by the teacher.
• Work effectively in small groups and with individual students to supplement instruction.
• Maintain a positive outlook and nurturing, calm personality while exercising firm control of student behavior.
• Perform support duties including morning and lunchroom supervision and bus duty, with some duties extending beyond the typical school day.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and emphasis on confidentiality.
• Preferred: Iowa substitute teacher authorization or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population in a Catholic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.

Compensation and Benefits
