NBT Bank in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated associate to contact past-due consumer and residential mortgage accounts, research payments, and review collateral before actions. You will work with branch staff and customers to resolve questions and keep accurate files.
Evening hours may be required. The role emphasizes communication, negotiation, and careful documentation while supporting the bank's rights and ensuring timely procedures are followed to protect assets.
Pay Range: $18.50 - $20.81
Responsible for contacting customers with delinquent consumer and residential mortgage accounts. Researches, maintains and processes account transactions. Recommends foreclosure, repossession and or accounts for legal. Works with internal and external customers, and branch personnel to resolve problems or answer questions that may arise. Researches lost or mis-posted payments for customer accounts. Reviews collateral prior to any actions the Bank may take. Reviews with supervisor and/or department manager any problem accounts. Prepares reports and maintain appropriate files as needed.
