Job summary

Texas Southern University invites applications for a General Adjunct/Visiting Faculty role. You will teach undergraduate or graduate courses as needed and provide academic advising while developing syllabi and teaching materials to support departmental programs.

You will assist with research projects and other duties, contributing to a collaborative educational environment. The position is 50% FTE and security sensitive.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or higher in the posted discipline or closely related field.
• Prior teaching experience in higher education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse student and faculty population.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
• Positive attitude and ability to make sound decisions with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Provide academic advising to students.
• Develop syllabi and instructional materials.
• Assist with research projects and departmental programs.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
