Job summary

University of Florida Digital Worlds Institute invites applications for an adjunct lecturer to teach DIG3124: Principles of Interaction and Usability for Spring 2027. The ideal candidate will bring deep UI/UX expertise, hands-on prototyping with Figma, and strong user-research capabilities to transform findings into wireframes and prototypes.

The role requires in-person lectures, grading, office hours, and student feedback, with approximately 10 hours per week from January 1, 2027 to May 15,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in a relevant field with UI/UX experience.
• Ability to lead live UI/UX demonstrations and articulate process in real time.
• Strong visual design fundamentals and proficiency with industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Lecture DIG3124, Principles of Interaction and Usability.
• Create a positive learning environment and provide feedback.
• Develop and assess assignments, with timely feedback to students.
• Monitor inquiries on the course platform and adhere to schedule.
• Adapt teaching to diverse learners and foster inclusivity.
