Worcester Polytechnic Institute invites applications for the part‑time position of Adjunct Teaching Faculty. The Chemical Engineering Department seeks part‑time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes. These positions are created to provide an available applicant pool for the department and will be filled on an as‑needed basis. Start dates vary by course and semester.
An Adjunct Teaching Faculty member will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses with options for on‑campus, off‑campus in a corporate setting, and online delivery. All topics in Chemical Engineering are of interest. Applicants should identify which courses in the current chemical engineering curriculum align best with their expertise.
An ideal applicant will hold an advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. Prior teaching experience and/or industry experience is also valued.
$8,000–$10,000 per course
