Monmouth University is seeking applications for an adjunct professor position in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. This position requires a commitment to excellence in teaching and a dedication to student success. The School of Education is CAEP-accredited. Part-time Adjunct Faculty members typically teach 3-6 credits per semester, with class schedules determined based on departmental needs and candidate availability.
The successful candidate will teach courses such as Literacy Instruction for P-6, Social Studies Methods for K-6, and/or Integrated K-12 Teaching Methods, depending on the candidate’s qualifications, expertise, and program needs.
Courses are taught in person at the West Long Branch campus. Adjunct positions remain posted continuously to expand the university’s pool of qualified adjunct faculty. Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver course lectures, discussions, and assignments in accordance with the curriculum and learning objectives.
Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and academic success.
Develop and administer projects and exams to evaluate student learning outcomes and provide grades in a timely manner.
