Southwestern Illinois College is seeking part-time/adjunct instructors for the Surgical Technology program at the Sam Wolf Granite City Campus. Courses may include classroom and laboratory settings, with occasional travel to clinical sites as required.

Responsibilities include teaching course objectives, assessing student learning, and reporting progress to the college. Applicants should meet instructor requirements, hold a CST credential, and have at least an associate degree in Surgical

Qualifications

• Meets the minimum instructor requirements for any course assignment.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program with CST credential.
• Minimum of two years in operating room scrub role or as Surgical Technology instructor in the last five years.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers, software, and internet for course delivery.
• Certification/licensure as a Surgical Technologist and recent clinical experience are beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Teach objectives for each course assigned and assess student learning.
• Report student progress as required by the college.
• Support classroom and laboratory delivery and coordination with clinical sites as needed.
