Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an adjunct faculty member for the course “Stagecraft and Lighting for Contemporary Worship” at the Phoenix campus. Required is a Bachelor’s in Technical Theatre/Stage Design (or similar) with 5 years of professional stage and lighting design experience; a Master’s degree is preferred and 3 years of

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelors in Technical Theatre/Stage Design/ or similar content area
• 5 years of professional experience as stage and lighting designer
• Masters (or higher) in Technical Theatre/Stage Design and 3 years of college teaching experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies
• Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends
• Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
