Position Summary

The School of Teaching and Learning often, but not always, has the need for part-time instructors. We invite applications to be submitted for these potential openings.

The School of Teaching and Learning consists of a variety of discipline areas in education. Adjuncts are occasionally needed for the following: Elementary Education, Middle Grades Education, Secondary Education, Inclusive and Special Education, Health and Physical Education, Foundations of Education, and Health and Wellness (Liberal Studies).

Adjunct faculty generally teach one to three classes (up to nine credit hours) in the program that is your specialty. Compensation is paid per class. Contracts are offered on a semester by semester term.

These postings are continuous in order to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. If your academic area or interest/expertise meets the programmatic needs of WCU at any time, you will be contacted to discuss proposed teaching opportunities.
