Adjunct RN Faculty - PRN Missouri Critical Care/Complex Care Clinical/Lab – Nursing

Grand Canyon University is seeking Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty members who are enthusiastic about sharing their expertise with Nursing students.

This PRN adjunct position involves travel within the St. Louis, Missouri area to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs.

What You Will Do
  1. Reinforce didactic content, teaching essential knowledge and skills for pre-licensure nursing
  2. Collaborate with faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives
  3. Participate in grading written and clinical performance assessments
  4. Stay current with trends and developments in nursing practice
  5. Maintain compliance with accreditation requirements
  6. Uphold the principles of holistic nursing and the values of Grand Canyon University
  7. Travel to GCU student sites to observe student performance
  8. Support university programs aligned with its philosophy and community service
  9. Model positive professional behavior consistent with the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission
What You Need
  • BSN required; BSN holders must enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program upon hire (cost covered by GCU)
  • Alternatively, BSN with proof of ≥9 graduate credits or relevant national certification; please specify on your resume
  • At least 5 years RN clinical experience, including 3 recent years in Critical Care/Complex Care with a BSN
  • BSN applicants must complete the Clinical Faculty Academy through the Missouri Hospital Association
  • MSN preferred; 2 years recent Critical Care/Complex Care experience; CFA not required for MSN applicants
  • Active, unencumbered, multi-state RN license
  • Successfully pass drug and competency tests
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to foster positive student relationships
