POSITION TITLE: Adjunct Psychology Instructor

Job Profile: 10317

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision, provides instruction to students in associate degree and diploma-level Psychology courses. Demonstrates the effective use of oral and written communication skills and knowledge of current procedures in the Psychology. Develops program and syllabi, goals and objectives. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Requests and maintains supplies and equipment. Performs related academic duties including, but not limited to, developing course outlines, class presentations, and ensuring compliance with institutional, TCSG, and accreditation standards.

Position is employed on an individual academic term basis.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Psychology or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology from a regionally accredited institution. Must possess and demonstrate effective verbal/written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years experience working or teaching in field.

Postsecondary teaching experience.

Experience in distance education and demonstrated use of technology.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
