The University of La Verne is seeking an adjunct professor to teach EDUC 349: Visual and Performing Arts within the LeFetra College of Education in La Verne, California. The course provides a foundational overview of K-8 arts curriculum aligned to California standards and fosters integration of arts across the classroom.

Required qualifications include a Master’s Degree, credential(s), and demonstrated experience in teaching the arts.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• Evidence of scholarly commitment (conferences, committees, published works).
• Experience teaching, level depending on course.
• Background within VPA (undergraduate, graduate, or credential).
• Evidence of knowledge across the Arts (music/theater/dance).

Responsibilities

• Provide overview of the visual and performing arts curriculum as outlined through the California Department of Education for all K-8 students.
• Connect arts content to standards and explore how to integrate the arts into the classroom.
• Teach the Visual and Performing Arts content for K-8 as part of EDUC 349.
