Job summary

The University of St. Thomas invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach undergraduate courses in the BAAS Social Innovation & Human Service curriculum on the Houston campus.

Classes are offered in-person during daytime and evening hours. Successful candidates will hold a Master's degree in education or related fields, demonstrate teaching excellence, and be able to work with students who have learning differences.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in education or related fields.
• Experience teaching in-person; ability to teach on Houston campus.
• Experience teaching students with learning differences.
• Familiarity with Office 365.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with a diverse student population.
• Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and willingness to obtain training.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in BAAS Social Innovation & Human Service.
• Teach in-person on the University of St. Thomas campus during day/evening hours.
• Collaborate with the Associates of Applied Science in Kolbe School of Innovation and Professional Studies.
• Inspire and engage a diverse student population.
