Overview

The University of Houston is seeking to hire part-time Adjunct Faculty for Undergraduate Student Success courses. This position will instruct a one‑hour or three‑hour section of USS 1101/1301: College Success. The course introduces first‑year students to success strategies, transition to college, academic success in the first year and beyond, and selection of a right‑fit major and career. The instructor is responsible for understanding and interpreting the provided curriculum, facilitating the one‑hour and a half synchronous online class each week, grading, responding to student inquiries outside of class, and generally supporting and nurturing first‑year students through the first semester of college and beyond.

• A demonstrated interest in undergraduate success.
• Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.

Employees are expected to have a home address in the state of Texas for the duration of their appointments.
