An established military college is seeking an adjunct faculty member for the Mechanical Engineering Department. This role focuses on teaching freshmen Cadets the fundamentals of Solid Modeling using SolidWorks. The program is ABET accredited and emphasizes hands-on learning in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates will have significant experience with SolidWorks and hold either a master’s degree or substantial graduate coursework in mechanical engineering. The Mechanical Engineering Department at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) invites applications for an adjunct faculty position whose primary responsibilities will be to instruct freshmen level Cadets on the use and applications of Solid Modeling.
The Mechanical Engineering program is ABET accredited and is wholly undergraduate.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants for this position are required to have significant work experience with the SolidWorks computer-aided design package.
Additional Considerations:
Preference will be given to candidates who either have completed 18 graduate credit hours or a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or in a closely related field.
