Job Responsibilities
- Promote student learning through diverse teaching strategies, facilitating engagement across all environments (on-campus, online, virtual).
- Teach metacognitive awareness and skills for lifelong learning.
- Utilize the learning management system (LMS) and other technologies to enhance instruction.
- Align activities and assessments with course objectives and student learning outcomes.
- Provide timely feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Use student evaluations for self-assessment and instructional enhancement.
- Adhere to professional standards, civility, and service excellence.
- Design courses and curricula aligned with learning outcomes.
- Evaluate and improve course materials and teaching strategies regularly.
- Follow department guidelines and college policies as outlined in the syllabi.
- Create and post individualized syllabi using approved templates at semester start.
- Establish and maintain a semester schedule of activities.
- Record attendance and grades in the LMS.
- Comply with all relevant laws regarding students' rights in higher education.
- Meet all departmental and college deadlines.

Qualifications
- Doctorate or master's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline, including at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience teaching college-level lectures and laboratory courses in Chemistry.
- Experience with multiple course delivery methods (on-campus, hybrid, online asynchronous and synchronous) is highly desirable.
