Position Summary: The Sport Management Program at North Central College invites applications to teach courses as a faculty associate for the 2025‑2026 and 2026‑2027 academic years. The successful candidate will teach one or two undergraduate (Sport Management, B.A.) or graduate (Sport Leadership, M.A.) courses per semester. Undergraduate courses may be delivered in‑person or online (synchronous and asynchronous). Applicants should indicate whether they are local (able to teach in‑person or online) or non‑local (available only for online courses). The role requires delivering course content, contributing to the creation of assignments and assessments, evaluating and grading student work, and holding office hours to assist students.
These appointments are on a course‑by‑course basis. The posting is continuous to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates and may contact candidates when programmatic needs arise.
Faculty Associate (adjunct) positions are hired on renewable semester contracts with loads not exceeding 8 credit hours; typically one course per semester. Undergraduate courses are 4 credit hours, graduate courses 3 credit hours. Positions are non‑benefits eligible, fixed‑term, and are contingent upon unit needs, funding, and enrollment.
