Job summary

Old Dominion University seeks part-time Adjunct instructional faculty to teach online and on-campus courses in Political Science, Geography, and International Studies. We are especially seeking General Education instructors. Selected applicants will join an adjunct pool to be used as needed to cover courses such as POLS 100S, 101S, and 102S, GEOG 100S, 101S, and 102T.

On-campus teaching is also welcomed. Minimum qualifications include ability to connect theory to civic engagement in politics,

Qualifications

• Experience with asynchronous and web-based instruction and high student evaluations.
• Ability to connect theory to current civic engagement (political science)
• Bridge human/environmental geography with geospatial technology (geography)

Responsibilities

• Teach online and on-campus courses in Political Science, Geography, and International Studies.
• Cover POLS 100S Intro. International Politics, POLS 101S Intro. American Politics, POLS 102S Intro. Comparative Govt. and Politics, GEOG 100S Human Geography, GEOG 101S Environmental Geography, GEOG 102T Digital Earth.
• Available to teach courses on-campus face-to-face when needed; part of adjunct pool to cover opportunities as they arise.
