The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Old Dominion University invites applications for part-time adjunct teaching opportunities. We recruit to an adjunct pool to cover courses as needed, typically daytime on-campus between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, with occasional online asynchronous opportunities.

We prefer candidates with at least a MA or PhD in Women’s and Gender Studies (or a closely related field) and 18 graduate credit hours in WG Studies.

Job Description

The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Old DominionUniversity invites applicants for part-time Adjunct teachingopportunities within the department. Although we are currentlyfully staffed, we are seeking individuals who may be available toteach as opportunities arise. Those selected will be hired as partof an adjunct pool, which will be utilized as needed based on whichcourses are in need of coverage. We tend to have the greatest needfor instructors who can teach daytime, on-campus courses between8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, most often in our General Education class,“Women, Gender, and Technology.” Some online asynchronous teachingopportunities may also be available.
