Position Title: Adjunct, Physician Assistant Studies Time Type: Part time Position Summary and Qualifications: The Department of Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated adjunct faculty member to teach an Anatomy course (4 credit hours). The course includes 3 hours of lecture and 4 hours of laboratory sessions weekly. The course will be offered at the University City location and a local affiliate. — Saint Joseph's University (SJU) offers a wide variety of bachelor's, master's, doctoral, associate and certificate programs. With a commitment to personalized attention through a low faculty to student ratio, SJU may call on the expertise of adjunct instructors to complement the work of full-time faculty across all of its colleges and schools. SJU appoints part-time, non-tenure track adjunct instructors on a semester-to-semester basis with no guarantee of consecutive appointments. Re-appointment is based on university need, student enrollment, and satisfactory performance. Applicants for these positions are screened on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Teaching responsibilities are assigned by the department chair. Compensation for adjunct instructors is commensurate with educational credentials, professional, experience and instructional background. Adjunct instructors are bound to the terms and conditions of employment at Saint Joseph's University, including but not limited to the Faculty Handbook. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to students
• Instruct an assigned course providing syllabi and other instructional materials
• Collaborate with Course Director to ensure curricular consistency and quality
• Develop and deliver in-person instructional materials such as lectures, laboratory activities, and assessments
• Connect lectures and assessments to learning outcomes as outlined by the program based on ARC-PA accreditation standards
• Hold weekly office hours to support students (or be available by appointment)
• Create, administer, and grade assessments
• Use and manage the university’s learning management system (Canvas) as required by the School of Health Professions
• Support programmatic goals and ARC-PA accreditation standards for student learning and engagement

Minimum Qualifications

• Required Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, Anatomy, or Biology, or a related field
• Lecturing experiences
• Preferred Previous adjunct faculty experience
• Cadaver laboratory experience
• Professional practice experience in healthcare and/or healthcare education
