Saint Joseph’s University seeks an enthusiastic adjunct faculty member to teach an Anatomy course (4 credits) for the Physician Assistant Studies program. The position is part-time and involves 3 hours of lecture and 4 hours of lab weekly at the University City location and a local affiliate.

The incumbent will deliver lectures, labs, and assessments, align learning outcomes with ARC-PA standards, and maintain office hours to support student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
• Lecturing experiences required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to students.
• Instruct an assigned course with syllabi and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with Course Director for curricular consistency and quality.
• Develop and deliver in-person lectures, labs, and assessments.
• Link lectures and assessments to ARC-PA outcomes.
• Maintain weekly office hours for student support.
• Create, administer and grade assessments.
• Operate Canvas LMS as required by the School of Health Professions.
• Support ARC-PA accreditation standards and program goals.

Position Title:Adjunct, Physician Assistant StudiesTime Type:Part timePosition Summary and Qualifications:The Department of Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated adjunct faculty member to teach an Anatomy course (4 credit hours). The course includes 3 hours of lecture and 4 hours of laboratory sessions weekly. With a commitment to personalized attention through a low faculty to student ratio, SJU may call on the expertise of adjunct instructors to complement the work of full-time faculty across all of its colleges and schools.SJU appoints part-time, non-tenure track adjunct instructors on a semester-to-semester basis with no guarantee of consecutive appointments. Re-appointment is based on university need, student enrollment, and satisfactory performance. Applicants for these positions are screened on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Teaching responsibilities are assigned by the department chair. Compensation for adjunct instructors is commensurate with educational credentials, professional, experience and instructional background.
