Teaches and supervises nursing students in the clinical, classroom or simulation lab settings and contributes to the professional development of nursing students. Supplements full-time faculty in the supervision of students and facilitation of the curriculum and course objectives.
Creates an environment in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings that facilitates student learning and achievement of desired knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Assists students to develop as nurses and integrate the values and behaviors expected of those who fulfill that role. Implements effective clinical and assessment evaluation strategies appropriate to the learning outcomes of the course. Applies clinical expertise in the health care environment. Operationalizes the curriculum in order to prepare graduates to function effectively in the health care environment. Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication and collaborative inter-professional relationships.
