Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Nursing Educator to teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings, contributing to their professional development and learning outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Nursing (or active enrollment in an ACEN/NLNAC/CCNE accredited program) and at least 3 years of teaching experience, with strong commitment to lifelong learning and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree in Nursing (or actively enrolled) in ACEN/NLNAC or CCNE accredited program.
  • 3 years teaching in classroom or clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates integrity, stability, imagination, and discriminative judgment in instruction of nursing students.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates interest and respect for students.
  • Demonstrates commitment to life-long learning.
  • Demonstrates respect, collegiality, professionalism, and caring in relations with administration, staff, colleagues, and students.
  • Knowledge of FERPA.

Summary

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
