Supplements full-time faculty in the supervision of students and facilitation of the curriculum and course objectives. **Job Duties*** Creates an environment in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings that facilitates student learning and achievement of desired knowledge, skills, and attitudes.* Assists students to develop as nurses and integrate the values and behaviors expected of those who fulfill that role.* Implements effective clinical and assessment evaluation strategies appropriate to the learning outcomes of the course.* Applies clinical expertise in the health care environment.* Operationalizes the curriculum in order to prepare graduates to function effectively in the health care environment.* Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication and collaborative inter-professional relationships. **Minimum Qualifications*** Doctorate PhD, EdD, or DNP* 3 years teaching in a classroom or clinical setting and* 5 years relevant and recent clinical experience in a particular nursing specialty* Demonstrates integrity, stability, imagination, and discriminative judgment in instruction of nursing students.* Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.* Demonstrates interest and respect for students.* Demonstrates commitment to life-long learning.* Demonstrates respect, collegiality, professionalism, and caring in relations with administration, staff, colleagues, and students.* Knowledge of FERPA.* RN - Licensed Registered Nurse\_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire **Preferred Qualifications*** CNE - Certified Nurse Educator NLN - State of Pennsylvania within 2 Years **Physical Demands** Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. \*Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
