Job summary

Job Description

We are seeking MSN, Ph.D., or DNP prepared nurses to instruct in our programs. Qualifications differ based on the program of study.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Online lectures, course facilitation, skills training, and oversight of clinical practicum within local healthcare facilities. Canvas LMS experience, preferred.
  • Adjunct is responsible for assuring regulatory compliance with accreditation, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Follow the curriculum aimed at assisting students to pass the national certification examination. Travel may be required to assess a clinical placement site. On campus intensive participation may be required.
  • Based on curriculum level, didactic engagement, facilitation of discussion boards, quality improvement projects and experiential oversight within different clinical and healthcare organizations required.
Requirements
  • MSN, Ph.D. and or DNP prepared nurses holding an unencumbered current Rhode Island Nursing License. Experiential learning placements are nationwide and may require licensure within a compact state as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse licensure.
  • Minimum of two years' full-time employment in advanced level nursing or its equivalent within the past five years, and evidence of experiential competence in area of didactic and/or experiential coursework.
  • Qualified applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Current CPR and immunizations.
Preferred
  • Teaching experience in graduate level coursework, recommended.
  • More than two years' full-time employment in advanced level nursing or its equivalent within the past five years.
  • Canvas or similar LMS experience desired.
