Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Composition Using Music Technology on our Phoenix campus. The course involves face-to-face instruction and engagement with contemporary music technology and industry practices.

Faculty will facilitate lectures, guide discussions, assess student work, and mentor students toward career readiness while upholding GCU's doctrinal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Master of Music or Master of Arts in composition or music theory AND 3 years of professional experience.
• Preferred: DMA or PhD in composition or music theory.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies.
• Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends.
• Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
