Qualifications

• Master's degree in discipline or qualifying field by application date.
• Qualifying fields: Music; Music Education.
• Doctoral degree in discipline and three years CC teaching experience preferred; ability to teach additional Motlow field.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned in accord with catalog description and syllabus; teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools as assigned; travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty, department lead/program director, and academic leadership on curricular and programmatic issues.
• Collaborate with administration and staff to support students, college goals, and operations; work in discipline-specific and multidisciplinary teams.
• Stay current with developments in the teaching discipline and update instruction accordingly to support student learning.
• Support curricular and co-curricular activities within the college.
• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester as assigned.
• Maintain availability to communicate with and meet students regarding coursework and attend meetings as requested by department.
