Job summary

Georgia State Government is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for IDSY/Auto Man/Mechatronics to teach in industrial systems, automated manufacturing and mechatronics programs.

The instructor will develop lesson plans, evaluate student progress, maintain required documentation, and uphold safety standards in the training area while collaborating with staff to support recruitment and job placement. A background check and federal requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must possess certificate level credential in mechatronics, automated systems, industrial systems, electro-mechanical technology or related field.
• A minimum of three (3) or more years of work experience in troubleshooting systems on automated cells including Allen Bradley PLC, SMC Pneumatics and Hydraulics, electronic controls, and motors.
• Preferred: Associate degree in industrial systems, mechatronics, automated manufacturing or related field.
• Five (5) years of in-field work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, instructs and supervises students in industrial systems, automated manufacturing and mechatronics programs.
• Develops program and course outlines; prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction; evaluates student progress.
• Requests and maintains supplies and equipment; prepares budget requests; maintains documentation and reports.
• Ensures safety and security requirements in training areas; meets with students and staff to discuss instructional programs.
