Job summary

Florence-Darlington Technical College is seeking a part-time temporary instructor to teach Mathematics and/or Statistics at its main campus, satellite sites, or online. The ideal candidate will possess a doctorate or master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent graduate coursework.

Previous teaching experience, particularly with multimedia and online tools, is highly valued. This position requires the ability to adapt to various teaching schedules based on course offerings.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics required.
• 18 graduate hours in Math or Statistics may be acceptable.
• Teaching/tutoring experience with multimedia technology is preferred.

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• A doctorate or master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics, or a doctorate or master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Math or Statistics.

Preferred Requirements

• The minimum requirements as listed, plus previous teaching/tutoring experience, preferably with multimedia technology, learning management systems, conferencing software, and online instruction.
• Proficiency in using graphing calculators, Microsoft Office Suite, web conferencing tools and virtual learning tools, and SMART Notebook software is also desired.
