Job summary

York Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Massage Therapy Instructor to deliver coursework, assess students, and maintain a professional classroom environment. Candidates must align instructional materials with course objectives and follow college grading policies while utilizing appropriate instructional technology.

The role requires a valid SC massage therapist license, a relevant education program, and a minimum of three years in massage therapy practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current, active South Carolina Massage Therapist license in good standing.
• Graduate of a massage therapy education program meeting licensure standards.
• Minimum of three years of professional massage therapy experience.
• Ability to demonstrate massage techniques and supervise hands-on practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with course syllabus, grading/attendance policy, and other relevant information in a timely manner.
• Relate instructional materials, discussions, and examples and illustrations; pace the instructor over the academic term.
• Provide students with timely assessments and return assessment results.
• Maintain professional class management and accurate records; supervise hands-on practice and evaluate student competency.
