Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking qualified applicants to serve as part-time or full-time, non-tenure track instructors in the Speech-Language Hearing Department. This term appointment covers the Spring 2027 semester with renewals based on needs, funding, and performance.

Instructors will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses at the Lawrence campus, other programs, or online, develop course materials, manage syllabi, and advise students while adhering to university policies.

Qualifications

• For undergraduate instruction: MA in Speech Language Pathology or BA in a relevant discipline with 5 years of related experience.
• For graduate instruction: Master's in Speech Language Pathology or Master's in relevant discipline and 7 years of related experience.
• Record of research, scholarship or achievement in discipline.
• Experience teaching Speech-Language-Hearing content.

Responsibilities

• Instruct in the specified field and develop course materials.
• Develop and manage syllabi, create lectures and assignments.
• Grade student work, advise students, and hold regular office hours.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stay current in the field.
