City University of New York is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer or Assistant Professor for the Automotive Technology Program at Bronx Community College. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Ph.D. degree and experience in automotive services and teaching.

The Automotive Technology Program of the Engineering, Physics & Technology Department of Bronx Community College / CUNY seeks experienced adjunct instructors to teach one or more of the following subject areas: Introduction to Automotive Technology, Engine Repair, Electrical Systems, Brake Systems, Steering and Suspension Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Automatic Transmission and Transaxle, Manual Drive Train and Axle, Engine Performance, Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, Diesel Engines, and Air Brake and Suspension.
Assignments will be for Fall 2026 beginning on August 26, 2026. Courses may be taught during the day, evening or weekend.
For Adjunct Lecturer: Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise and ability to teach successfully.
For Adjunct Assistant Professor: Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent, and ability to teach successfully.
For Adjunct Lecturer: A Master's degree in a related field and current ASE certifications may be considered.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience:
Adjunct Lecturer: $112.50 per hour
Adjunct Assistant Professor: $120.83 per hour
