Job summary

Merrimack College’s Girard School of Business seeks an in-person instructor to teach Principles of Marketing (MGT2205-A) for Fall 2026. The course meets Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 9:45AM–11:00AM, on the Merrimack College campus in Massachusetts.

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in business or a related area; Ph.D. preferred. Prior college teaching experience is desirable, with related work experience also considered. A criminal background check is required.

Position Description & Overview:

Merrimack College is a selective, private college in a beautiful,residential setting — just minutes from Boston,Massachusetts.

The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College has openings foran in person Undergraduate course for Principles of Marketing forthe Fall 2026 semester.

Undergraduate courses :

Principles of Marketing (MGT2205-A) Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:45AM– 11:00AM

The course starts on August 31st and will run through December 18th2026. The course is in-person, on-campus for all scheduled classesand all interested applicants must be able to deliver the course inthis modality.

Course description:

Principles of Marketing (MGT2205-A): The marketing courseintroduces marketing as a functional area of a business enterprise.Students will study numerous marketing principles and functions,including the marketing concept, the marketing mix, buyer behavior,market segmentation, product positioning, and marketing research,all within a global context.

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in business or related area, Ph.D. preferred.College teaching experience is preferred, although related workexperience may be considered.

Compensation

Minimum: $5,000 per 4-credit course

Minimum: $3,750 per lab section

The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determinedbased on factors such as, but not limited to, candidatequalifications and prior experience, scope of responsibilities,internal equity, and market considerations.
