Job summary

The Supply Chain Management & Analytics department at Virginia Commonwealth University invites applications for an adjunct instructor pool to teach a range of operations, analytics, and SCM courses. Courses may be in-person, online, or hybrid, with emphasis on in-person instruction at Snead Hall, Richmond, VA.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related field and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Canvas.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, statistics, supply chain management, operations management, or related field.
• Proficiency with common office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to utilize Canvas LMS for content delivery.
• Commitment to teaching in-person courses and schedules as needed.
• Ability to work independently and meet instructional deadlines.
• Compliance with adjunct workload regulations.

Responsibilities

• Meet designated course instruction guidelines and contact hour requirements.
• Respond to student inquiries, grade assignments, and provide timely feedback.
• Hold office hours or individual appointments for students.
• Submit midterm and final grades prior to deadlines.
• Coordinate with faculty to align courses with current offerings.
• Deliver instruction using lectures, demonstrations, data analysis, cases, and presentations.
• Maintain a professional learning environment that fosters student success.
