Description

The Department of Applied Psychology is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to lead the primary lecture forAPSY-UE 1137: Research Methods II on Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:30-10:45 AM for the upcoming Fall 2026 semester. This position is responsible for delivering core curriculum lectures, guiding undergraduate students through quantitative and qualitative research designs, and supervising attached Course Assistants and recitation leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Instruction:Prepare and deliver engaging, high-quality weekly lectures on advanced research methodologies, experimental designs, and data analysis.

Curriculum Management:Maintain and update the Brightspace course site, syllabus, assignment rubrics, and exams in alignment with departmental learning objectives.

Instructional Leadership:Direct and collaborate with assigned Course Assistants (CAs) and Recitation Instructors to ensure consistent grading and lab section alignment.

Student Mentorship:Hold dedicated weekly office hours to support undergraduate students in mastering course content and research design projects.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the contact hour rate for this position is $235.61. This rate is based on the collective bargaining agreement with Local 7902
