Position

Adjunct Instructor – Psychology | Texas A&M University – Texarkana | Department of Social Sciences (Counseling, Psychology & Sociology) | Part‑time Faculty (per semester)

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or a related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate‑level credit hours, from a regionally accredited institution – for undergraduate courses.
• Doctorate or terminal degree in psychology or a closely related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate‑level credit hours, from a regionally accredited institution – for graduate courses.
• Will be subject to a criminal‑history investigation and credential verification.

Duties

• Teach Psychology courses in one or more of the following modalities: face‑to‑face, web‑enhanced, hybrid, or online.
• Courses may include: Statistics, General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Personality, and Brain and Behavior.
• Deliver courses on a 5‑week, 8‑week, 10‑week, or 16‑week term depending on the semester.
• Coordinate course administrative duties, including grading student work, loading all course content (assessments and lecture modules), meeting with students, submitting grades in a timely manner, meeting census and grade deadlines, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Compensation

• Undergraduate section: $2,400 per section with a master’s degree; $2,900 per section with a Ph.D.
• Graduate level section: $3,100 per section with a master’s degree; $3,600 per section with a Ph.D.
